Glaciers and Climate Lab
CUNY Queens College
In the Queens College Glaciers and Climate Lab, we investigate the impacts of past climate change on Earth's surface with an eye towards improving societal outcomes under a warming climate. We primarily use cosmogenic nuclides, lake sediments, and GIS to generate high-resolution records of glaciation and sea-level change over the Quaternary period. Major focus areas of our research program include glacier and ice sheet response to abrupt climate oscillations and the influence of past environmental change on human settlement patterns.
